Mark Stanley has been at HISA for the last two and a half years as a Senior Manager, coordinating our Communications and Commercial Development. He’s been working in the sector for the last 13 years. He leads the operational delivery and strategy of the communications and marketing department, driving engagement with the association's membership across Scotland, supporting officers and staff and spearheading innovative initiatives to enhance income generation.
Prior to his role at HISA, Mark worked at the Union of Brunel Students for five years, including as the Marketing & Communications Manager, and Representation & Policy Coordinator. His tenure was characterized by strategic leadership, where he revamped internal communications processes, developed comprehensive communication strategies, and led the Impact Reporting project. Mark also worked as the Societies Administrator, where he streamlined processes and procedures to enhance support for student societies.
Additionally, his role as Vice President Societies and Community & Trustee Board Member at Undeb Bangor (Bangor University Students’ Union) saw him coordinating student societies, leading impactful campaigns, and fostering community partnerships, contributing to the growth and enhancement of Student Union societies and communities.
Mark studied at Bangor University and was a member of the Film and Radio Societies. Finally, Mark is passionate about working in the charity sector, working with young people to achieve their potential.
