Student Network Junior Researchers

Highlands & Islands Students’ Association seeks to recruit Subject Network Junior Researchers (SNJRs) to conduct small research projects in the six Higher Education subject networks at the University.

  • Applied Life Studies
  • Business, Management and Leisure
  • Creative and Cultural Industries
  • Engineering and the Built Environment
  • Humanities, Education and Gaelic
  • Science, Technology and the Environment

There is one post for each network outlined above, and you must be a student in that network to apply. The post-holders will work alongside HISA elected officers, class reps, and HISA staff and Programme Leaders on one project, which will be decided based on feedback from the NSS and internal surveys, in order to improve students experience across the network.

Student Association Assistant (Lews Castle College UHI)

You will be part of the Highlands and Islands Students' Association (HISA) staff team, working to help to build capacity of HISA in Lews Castle College UHI. You will be responsible for supporting the HISA Local Officer in their role and assisting with local HISA projects. 

This is a part-time position for 10 hours per week, for further information about the role please view the following documents:

Student Association Assistant (Moray College UHI)

You will be part of the Highlands and Islands Students' Association (HISA) staff team, working to help to build capacity of HISA in SAMS and Argyll College UHI. You will be responsible for supporting the HISA Local Officer in their role and assisting with local HISA projects.
